The Super Eagles of Nigeria emerge victorious against the Amavubis of Rwanda and closes in on table toppers South Africa; npflupdates.com report.
Initially it appeared to be difficult task for the Super Eagles, but things took a different turn after Galatasary Sk forward Victor Osimhen struck first.

The former Golden Eaglets forward shot from close range; and converted a long range free-kick from Lookman.
The Amavubis looking unperturbed continued pressing; hoping to find an equaliser before half-time.
However, a solo run from Victor Osimhen saw him tip the charging Rwanda goalkeeper to complete his brace.
Three important things to take away from the Super Eagles Victor are:
(1) Osimhen after his brace is now the second highest goalscorer in Super Eagles history. He’s overtaken legend Segun Odegbami, and is second to late Rashidi Yekini.
(2) KRC Genk forward Tolu Arokodare made his international debut for Nigeria. The Belgian Jupiler Pro League highest goalscorer replaced Osimhen late in the second half. He is expected to pick form and help the team beat Zimbabwe next Tuesday in Uyo.
(3) Lack of possession by Nigeria: it’s good Nigeria beat Rwanda as it gives them high morale to tackle next opponent. However, the team’s lack of coordination in the midfield is something fans should be worried about.
