The nine-time African champions lost to France in Angers today, making two consecutive loses to the 2019 FIFA women’s world cup host.
It was a great test for the ladies who are playing an international opponent for the first time since Coach Magudu took charge of the team.
Coach Justin Magudu replaced American gaffer Randy Waldrum as the national team coach. This was after Waldrum step aside due to personal reasons undisclosed to the media.
Three important takeaways from the Super Falcons Loss Are as follows:
(1) The Nigeria national team is still undergoing a building process under new Justin Magudu. The style of play currently witnessed in the team wasn’t so familiar with what was obtainable under Randy Waldrum.
So, it will take sometime for the team to blend and get along with each others role. That way they can get maximum result both competitive and non-competitive fixtures.
(2) Super Falcons newcomer Blessing Nkor made her full debut for the national team. Nkor’s outstanding performance for her club has no doubt paved the way for her break-in to the star-studded squad.

(3) Osinachi Ohale for the first time in her Super Falcons career received a red card. Ohale is an integral part of the team, representing at both continental and intercontinental stages. Her red card in the stoppage time, was a shock to both the coach, her teammates and other backroom staff; who argued the call by the match official.
Super Falcons will return to action next year, as they hope to make their continental title ten.
