Super Falcons players if Imo State extraction have been appreciated by Governor Hope Uzodimma for their gallantry at the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The players were welcomed and treated to a good time by the Governor, his wife and some officials. Interestingly this is not the first time Gov. Hope will be rewarding athletes from the state.
Because, few weeks ago, he rewarded state’s owned Heartland FC for winning the Nigeria National League NNL, title last season. According to sources, the philanthropic politician rewarded Heartland FC with a watering sum of One Hundred Million Naira.

Super Falcons receive land, cash prize from Gov. Hope Uzodimma
It is understood that the Governor who’s seeking a second term in office rewarded the players with $10,000 each. And also instructed that a plot of land be given to each of the players.
The beneficiaries are: Goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Striker, Desire Oparanozie, Defender Osinachi Ohale and Goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi.
Reacting to the warm reception and gift, Super Falcons Captain, Chiamaka Nnadozie applauded the governor for his support to sports in Nigeria.
“I genuinely want to take a moment to appreciate His Excellency Hope Uzodinma and Her Excellency barrister Chioma uzodinma for the warm reception,” she wrote on Twitter.
“We are soo grateful for your support and encouragement.”
Also, Super Falcons forward, Desire Oparanozie appreciated Governor Hope Uzodimma for rewarding work.
“Special appreciation to his excellency governor Hope Uzodinma, and her excellency Barrister Chioma Uzodinma for the warm reception,” she wrote on Twitter.
