
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun believes it’s time the national team integrate dual national players who are willing into the national team; npflupdates.com reports.
Balogun was one of the few players with dual nationality who choose to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The lanky defender has represented Nigeria in various international events including an AFCON tournament.

Speaking to Europe-based journalist Ayo Olu, he suggested the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, makes it a duty in luring quality players of dual nationals to the national team.
According to the Rangers Glasgow defender, the three-time African champions, can no longer afford to lose out on eligible players.
What Blaogun Said About Super Eagles Eligible Players With Dual Nationality
“There is so much talent. Look at David Alaba, Manuel Akanji, Michael Olise — we missed out on them. Eze, Saka, and many others too,” Balogun said.
“There are still more players coming through. There’s one now at Werder Bremen, Felix Agu. So, it is about sending the right message and making the national team more attractive.

“When I got called up, I felt this was home, my other half calling me to come and discover who I really am.
Speaking about the difficulties he faced in his early days in the national team, he said:
“Before then, I wasn’t very connected to my Nigerian roots. I’m still learning, and for the past two years, I have been taking Yoruba lessons, which is not easy.”
Jordan Torunarigha Eye A Spot In The National Team
In a similar story, Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha is seeking a chance in the national team.
According to the former Germany youth international, it’d be a huge opportunity if he can get a chance.
” When you play regularly, a national team call up is usually at the back to your mind and it’s the same for Jordan going into the next international break. He is really itching for another chance to cement his spot in the team”, his representative told OwnGoalNigeria.com in an exclusive chat.

In another story, Super Eagles eligible Alonge Olalekan joins Hungarian outfit TC Ferencvarosi from a Nigerian academy.

The teenager agreed to terms and will continue his development in the Hungarian league.

The teenager was scouted in Lagos, and was flown to European for a trial.
