Super Eagles eligible defender Caleb Okoli reveal he has some regrets during his invitation to Italy senior men’s national team; npflupdates.com reports.
Born in Vicenza Italy, to Nigerian parents, Caleb as much as he’s eligible to represent Italy internationally, is also eligible to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

In an interview with cronachedispogliatoio.it, Okoli stated his disappointment over not being able to make his debut for the Azzurris during the times he was called up to the team.
Okoli since his move to EPL outfit Leicester City has on several occasions been invited by Coach Luciano Spalletti.
And while admitting that it was a nice experience, he regretted not making a full debut with the former world champions.
What Caleb said about his time with the Azzurris
“I have experienced some beautiful gatherings and the only regret I have is that I was not able to debut,” he said.
“However, I believe that being able to be part of this journey is also important and I am sure that in the future I will be able to debut.”
The 23-year-old further recalled his early conversations with Spalletti; where the latter reveal his plans for him.
“The coach had already come to talk to me when I was in Frosinone, last year,” Okoli noted.
“He explained some things to me about being a footballer and made me understand the responsibilities we have. He also gave me technical advice. It was truly a pleasure to be able to have that chat.”
Akor crave Super Eagles opportunity ahead of world cup qualifier
In another story, HSC Montpelier forward Akor Adams wants an inclusion to the Super Eagles.
The former Flying Eagles goal-poacher, remains upbeat that once his opportunity comes, he’d grab it with both hands.
“I work hard on my game. It’s important to me. It would be a great privilege to represent Nigeria at senior level. I am just waiting for the time,” he said.
The former Lillestrøm SK man, praised the talent of Nigeria’s current strikers and expressed his readiness to make his time count.

“I recognise that Nigeria has top strikers right now. Football is about opportunity, and you have to keep improving and trust your own process, which I do,” Adams added.
“If the chance comes, I need to be ready to perform. That is the most important thing.”
