While Nigeria is on course to winning its fourth AFCON title, Angola is gunning for its first.
Reacting ahead of the upcoming fixture, controversial prophetess Elizabeth (Liza), has warned against negligence. According to the football enthusiast, Nigeria shouldn’t ignore the voice of caution, but should apply wisdom and seek the face of God.
Recall, before the R16 clash against Cameroon, Elizabeth cried it may the national team’s last game at the AFCON. Based on her assertion, she had a revelation that Nigeria may not overcome the Cameroonians.
“I feel disturbed Nigeria may never get past the Cameroonians. This I saw in a dream, but it looked more real; I’ve never felt like this before after a dream,” she said.
“Saturday maybe the end of the road for a fourth title, expect in a case of divine intervention.”
How the Super Eagles can overcome the Black Antelopes of Angola
Speaking ahead of the quarterfinal game, Elizabeth revealed that Angola will beat the Super Eagles if the three-time African champions fail to follow her instructions.
“There’s no more room for excuses, I believe by now the Super Eagles must have learnt their lessons. Angola will decide their fate, and it’s up to them,” she told NPFLUpdates correspondent.
“Cameroon was a divine intervention, and such opportunity will not call against Angola. He will give the fate of Nigeria to Angola if they fail to heed his words. I’ve been ordered to prophecy that every player in the team embarks on a 2-day fasting and praying, reading the book of Psalm 23.”
She added, “God will give them victory and become their shepherd when they do that.”
In a related story, Coach José Peseiro defends Osimhen’s lack of goals at the AFCON. According to Peseiro, Osimhen is an important player to the team, as he joins both in defense and attack.
“He didn’t score but had a fantastic game; it’s not easy to stop that guy. One lady asked me yesterday to put Osimhen on the bench if you want to score,” Peseiro was quoted by Daily Post Nigeria.
“Ask the opponents’ defenders what they suffered. He pressured, won the first ball, and created the goal. The opponent had the ball and, with pressure, took the ball and assisted
“He’s fantastic for our team, which has very good players. We want a striker who can defend and attack, sometimes you need to give him the ball and he’ll win the ball against two or three.”
