Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade reveal the team’s driving force ahead of Olympics qualifier fixture against South Africa; npflupdates.com reports.
Ajibade will lead the nine-time African champions when they file out against arch rivals South Africa today in Abuja.

The super Falcons will hope to clinch its first eyyver Olympics ticket since Beijing games in 2008.
The Falcons last featured in the women’s football event at the Summer Olympics in Beijing 2008. And has since then failed to qualify for the last three consecutive editions – London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
According to Ajibade, the team has its sights on the ticket, and will go all out to get it not minding who’s in their path.

“From the time we played Ethiopia, we have been committed to seeing these qualification series through, “ the Athletico de Madrid player told the Nigerian Football Federation media.
It’s important to note that aside goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi, no other player in the current Super Falcons squad(for the qualifier) has played at the Olympics.
“Our objective has always been to win the slot for the Olympics. Most of us in the team are yet to play at the Olympics and this is a big issue for us. We want to be there in Paris,” she continued.
“There are a couple of issues the Super Falcons have to sort out with Banyana Banyana. However, that is not the motivation this time. The motivation is qualifying for the Olympics,” Ajibade added.
In another story, Bayana Bayana gaffer, Desiree Ellis, remains upbeat that his team can upset the Super Falcons.
According to the 67-year-old, the Olympics play-off is a must-win for her side; stressing that they’re not afraid of Nigeria.
“It’s been a good stay in Nigeria, for us. The game is important for us and Nigeria, it is do or die,” Ellis said, per Soccernet.ng.

“It’s like you are in the last round of a boxing match, a 12-round fight, where the winner succeeds and the loser goes home, it’s that crucial. It can’t be any other way. It is two games, and the best results over the two games goes through to the Olympic games.
