Super Eagles prospect Chuba Akpom has become officially the first player in English Football top tiers to reach the 10-goal tally in the 2023 FIFA Calendar year.
Akpom has been in fine form since former Manchester United player, Michael Carrick took charge of Middlesbrough FC.
He has been coring goals week-in week-out. And is on course to helping the Riverside boys charge for a promotion back to the English Premier League.

On Saturday evening away against Swansea, and with fourteen minutes of the normal duration remaining, Middlesbrough was presented with a spot-kick.
Filled with confidence, and eyes gazed at the EFL Golden Boot. The Nigerian stepped up and fired home to give Middlesbrough FC Â a comfortable win away from home.
The goal at Swansea meant the former Arsenal forward now has a total of 22 league goals in 29 appearances. Meanwhile, he has scored six goals in his last five appearances for the Michael Carrick’s side.
He’s now the first player ever in the English top tiers of English football to score up to ten goals in 2023.
Akpom has completed a switch from England to Nigeria. And based on his form, is expected to make the squad list that will engage Guinea-Bissau later this month.
Nigeria will go head-to-head with the Wild Dogs of Guinea-Bissau on 24th and 27th March. The AFCON qualifier matches, will see Nigeria welcome the Djurtus at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on 24th.
The second date will happen in Bissau, at the Estadio de 24 Setembro on 27th. And a win for any of the opponents, will have them one foot away to clinching AFCON ticket.
