Middlesbrough FC striker Chuba Akpom has won the PFA Player Of The Month Award for the month of February NPFL Updates reports.
Akpom was in fine form for the Michael Carrick’s side last month. He scored five goals last month to win the award.
The 27-year-old scored a brace in a Skybet Championship fixture against Blackpool on 4 February.
Eleven days later 15 February, he returned to scoring ways against Sheffield United, helping the team secure a crucial one point.

Three days later at home to Queens Park Rangers, he completed his five goal tally with a brace.
This is the second time Akpom will be winning the covetous award consecutively. He won the award last January.
“Your PFA Overtumotors championship fans player of the month for February,” Boro’s statement on Instagram read.
Shockingly, Akpom since switching his allegiance for the Super Eagles has not bee handed any call-up.
Agent of the player few days ago revealed they’ve not been contacted by an NFF official concerning a national team call-up for the striker.
The representative further explained maybe a national invitation was extended to his club.
But the recent list says otherwise with Paul Onuachu, Moses Simon and Terem Moffi included in the squad.
Akpom has since declared his intentions of serving Nigeria through football. It seems that hope may not see the light of the day, at least not next week.
Nigeria will go to work against Guinea-Bissau on March 24 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium. They seek to qualify for the next edition of AFCON.
Three days later, the national team will travel to Guinea-Bissau for a second date of the fixture.
