Super Eagles head coach Finidi George will be out assistant Daniel Amokachi when the Bafana Bafana of South Africa come to town later this evening; npflupdates.com reports.
Finidi will for the first time in his coaching career be on the touchline as Super Eagles head coach tonight when the three-time African champions exchange tackles with South Africa.
Why Finidi Will be without Daniel Amokachi
According to statistics, the Super Eagles of Nigeria are unbeaten in their last 7 World Cup qualifiers winning twice. They have drawn each of their last 5 World Cup qualifiers.
And while Finidi is poised to getting Nigeria it’s first world cup qualifier victory in five games; he’d be doing that without the services of Amokachi who was announced as his assistant by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) few weeks ago.
Reacting to the absence of Amokachi, former Nigerian international Emmanuel Babayaro argued that the NFF didn’t accord Amokachi the much respect he needed.
The ex footballer, queried NFF’s decision not to hand Amokachi a contract. Recall, the NFF, through its policy to save cost stated that all assistant coaches and backroom staff will be paid per outing and not on monthly basis.
“How demeaning can these conditions be?” Babayaro wrote on social media.
“Amokachi said yes to the appointment as the Super Eagles assistant coach but an emphatic no to the demeaning conditions attached thereto.”
In another story, Super Eagles eligible Tosin Adarabioyo has signed for Chelsea from Fulham FC.
The defender agreed to terms with the London club, and will now join teammates very soon.

“I’m here at Chelsea to win, I want to win,” Tosin was quoted by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“Before confirming the move, I gave Sterling and Cole Pammer a call and they had nothing but positive things to say about the club and the project”.
