Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface opens up for the first time after a failed transfer to the Saudi League; npflupdates.com reports.
Boniface was close to joining Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League last winter transfer window. But a dying minute change of plans by the Saudi club saw the deal collapse; and the Nigerian staying with the reigning Bundesliga champions.

The former Royale USG man started for the first time after returning from injury in a 3-1 home win in the Bundesliga.l against TSG Hoffenheim.
Boniface was on target in the fixture scoring the first goal of the afternoon; and helping his side to a comfortable 3-1 home win.

Speaking to the medi after the game, the former Bodø/Glimt forward reveal his commitment to the growth and development of Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface confirmed there were speculations; but also revealed it was a normal thing for rumours and speculations to spread during transfer windows.
What Boniface said about failed transfer to Al Nassr
“There has been a lot of speculation here and there. But I like playing here and want to do my best for the team,” Boniface assured in an interview with sportsboom.com.
“Whatever happens in the future will happen, but at the moment I’m only thinking about helping Leverkusen achieve our goals.
“Transfer rumours are normal in football. It’s always flattering when big clubs show interest, but my focus at the moment is 100 percent on Bayer Leverkusen.
“Every game is an opportunity. I want to contribute goals, assists, and energy to the team. I just want to stay fit, keep playing and keep improving. If I manage that, I think everything else will fall into place.”
Boniface speaks about his goal against TSG Hoffenheim

The Super Eagles forward also commented on his goal against TSG Hoffenheim.
“I feel happy, I feel great. It has been a long time since I’ve been out, I think almost two months, so to be back and playing games is really good for me,” he said after the home win.
“It feels good to score, not just being a striker but in general as a team to score an early goal against a top team like this, it really helps build confidence and you can see that after the goal, the team gained more confidence to score more.”
