Arsenal Football Academy graduate Nathan Jerome Butler-Oyedeji identifies his eligibility for the Super Eagles of Nigeria; npflupdates.com reports.
Butler-Oyedeji who’s been out on loan at Accrington Stanley in the English Conference League reveals his eligible to play for Nigeria.

Born on London, England, to a Nigerian father, and a St Vincent mother, Butler-Oyedeji is eligible to represent Nigeria through his father.
He can also represent St Vincent through his mother, and also England through his country of birth, and also naturalization.
The teenager joined Arsenal at the age of eight, rose through their ranks, and subsequently signed a professional contract with the former English Premier League champions in the summer of 2021.
Butler-Oyedeji reveal his Nigerian identity
After signing his professional contract, he has spent time on loan at Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham in search of first-team football.
“My family background is that my dad’s Nigerian and my mother is from St Vincent. The Butler is from my mum’s side and Oyedeji is from my dad’s side,” he told the Arsenal Matchday programme.

“My dad always encouraged me to watch clips of Thierry Henry to understand the art of playing in attack but I also watched the likes of Ronaldinho too, just mesmerized by their ability.”
Should he consider the Green and White colours of the Super Eagles, Butler-Oyedeji will become the latest player born abroad to join the three-time African champions.
