Super Eagles players Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will on Saturday reignite their rivalry as they race towards the Italian Serie A Golden Boot award.
Few weeks ago Ademola Lookman told the media he’d be catching up with Osimhen on the goal-scoring chart.
Interestingly, he stressed that he may even usurp the Napoli forward from the top of Serie A scoring chart.
And his statement generated a lot of talking points from pundits. Many has argued, that Lookman’s challenge has motivated Osimhen into scoring in seven straight games.
Last weekend, Osimhen fired blank against Lazio, for the first time in more five matches.
And this evening Atalanta will travel to Naples with a goal-hungry Lookman. Lookman has failed to score any goal in more than three consecutive Serie A fixtures.
Whether the Nigerian duo will both score for their clubs remains a doubt. But they’d surely push eachother, as the race for the Golden shoe rages on.
