Further in his words, the tactician explained that players with questionable positions in their clubs isn’t welcomed in his camp.
Also, he admitted trying to avoid a mistake his counterpart Salisu Yusuf , head coach of the Olympic Eagles.
Yusuf in his quest of qualifying Nigeria for the next Olympic games invited players from poor leagues. And shockingly, even a player from a 9th division in English football was invited. Hence the team’s poor performance, and lack of qualification for the AFCON U-23.
So, Bosso, is trying everything possible to avoid such a path. Hence his decision to invite in-form players.
“So, if you’re it a regular player in your team, you can’t be here. All we are trying to do is to avoid the mistakes made by the under-23.
“Because, it’s a grave mistake inviting players that you don’t know their form. So, we have to take our corrections from there. And I think all things being equal, we are on the right way.”
At the FIFA U-20 W’Cup, Nigeria will play Dominican Republic, Italy and five-time champions Brazil.
The tournament will hold between 20 May, to 11 June 2023.
