The Future Eagles of Nigeria(U-16) will not participate in the yet-to-start three Nations development league in Spain, npflupdates.com reports.
The Future Eagles were supposed to be in Spain latest today, so as to be able to participate in the tournament that will start tomorrow.

According to a statement by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Spanish Embassy domiciled in Nigeria failed to issue the players and officials Visas.
Future Eagles not denied any Visa
“Players and officials of the Nigeria U15 team, Future Eagles, have been denied visas by the Spanish Embassy and will therefore not be travelling to take part in the UEFA U16 Development Tournament starting on Friday,” NFF posted on its official X formerly (Twitter handle) Tuesday afternoon.
However, the Spanish authorities told the BBC the federation’s claim was “not correct”.
According to the Spanish authorities, the applicants had withdrawn their applications; stressing that no visas were denied as claimed by the NFF.
“Our Consulate General in Lagos has gone through the case and wishes to inform that the applicants withdrew their applications at the consulate on Monday, 8th of April,” a representative for the Spanish embassy in Nigeria said.
“No one has denied those visas.”
Reacting, Nigerians on social media app Facebook has called on the NFF to come up and clear the misunderstanding.
“Wickedness in high places. Bcoz their children are not among they denied them the opportunity. Did they think Spanish embassy will keep quiet for such a grievous allegations,” Emmanuel Igah stated.

“NFF should come clean of this case. We were made to believe that the Future Eagles and the officials were denied Visas by Spanish Embassy,” Patrick Albert retortded
“Then who’s deciving who,” Aladejuwon Joshua added.
