The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria has confirmed their readiness in the upcoming AFCON U-17 tournament in Algeria, npflupdates reports.
The Golden Eaglets is camping in the city of Constantine in Algeria ahead of the AFCON U-17 opener on Sunday.
And the team is expected to progress from their group stage, and also qualify for the next round. Nigeria in their group matches, will battle Zambia, Morocco and perennial rival South Africa.
Nduka Ugbade’s boys will kickstart their AFCON U-17 against Zambia. And Nigerians are hoping that the team will emerge victorious, as it will boost their morale going forward.
And in a video that surfaced online Thursday afternoon, the Eaglets were seen confirming their readiness ahead of Sunday’s fixture.

“Here’s not like Nigeria, the weather is cold. And Nigeria weather is hot. But we love what we see here. Zambia is a tough opponent but, were a ready for them. We give them the respect they deserve,” the boys were heard saying.

And also, Light Chijioke Eke in an interview with the NFF TV remained upbeat they will beat Zambia.

“Based on the preparations, I know that we are ready. We have Zambia, South Africa, these are very good opponents. We will remain focused on getting good results in our games,” Light was quoted by Totorinews Nigeria.
And according to the player, the strength of the team will be at full potential if they play by their coach’s instructions.
“Our strength is to play according to coahes’ instructions. We will be compact and work hard together as a team.
“We will give our best to get the result that we need against Zambia on Sunday,” he said.
Light Eke is a player of C&C Football Academy. And he scored two goals at the WAFU B tournament in Cape Coast, Ghana last year.
