Enyimba FC forward Brown Ideye reveal he is very happy to be back in the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, npflupdates.com reports.
Ideye started his career in the NPFL as far back as 2004; then he was with the now defunct Ocean Boys. A young Ideye impressed in the league, and was among the Flying Eagles team in 2007.

Shortly the tournament, the Bayelsa-born player moved to Europe in search of greener pastures.
Through out his career, Ideye has played in Ukraine, England, Greece, China and Kuwait.
Shockingly, the former Super Eagles forward, agreed to terms and signed for Enyimba FC after initially being linked with Rivers United.
The 36-year-old made his debut for the Aba-based club last weekend against Bendel Insurance.
Based on his statement after the game in Aba, the former Dynamo Kyiv forward, highlighted the importance of playing in the NPFL before official retirement.
According to the player, so many Nigerian footballers based in Europe wants to return home and play in the NPFL.
What Ideye said about foreign-based players returning to the NPFL
“I feel like a player like me coming back is something good. I received a lot of messages from other players playing abroad, those who are looking forward to being part of this,” Ideye said after his debut.
“I have a lot of them messages on Instagram. They will like to come and we just have to give everyone their respect and support to improve the league and make it a homecoming. A lot of players in Europe are not doing well, they want to come back home.”
Ideye joins Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi in the list of Super Eagles players who have made a return to the NPFL.

Eguavoen as NFF Technical Director combines as caretaker manager of the Super Eagles. While the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, is bent on hiring an expatriate manager, Ndukwe remains upbeat Eguavoen can qualify Nigeria for the world cup after securing the 2025 AFCON ticket.
“Our priority should be qualifying for the World Cup, and for that, we need stability in the team,” Ndukwe told Brila.

“Sometimes the coach needs time to understand the squad’s depth, experiment with players, and build a solid team.
“I think Eguavoen and his technical crew should continue instead of bringing in a new coach and starting afresh.”
