Super Eagles combative midfielder John Ogu has reached out to all of his fans worldwide assuring them of his safety and whereabouts in Israel npflupdates.com reports.

Since the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out a lot of Nigerians, friends and families of some Super Eagles players plying their trade in Israel have been worried about their safety. Especially when it was reported by popular media outlet Al-Jazeera that at least 2,000 persons have been killed from both sides.
A report by Nigerian media giant The Punch stated that a recent attack Wednesday morning, has left at least 30 persons dead.
Midfielder John Ogu who plays for Maccabi Jaffa, and Adebayo Adeleye who plays for Hapoel Jerusalem are two out of the many Nigerians playing in Israel.
While nothing has been made public about Adebayo who was included in the Super Eagles squad for Saudi Arabia and Mozambique international friendlies, John Ogu has reached out to fans.
In a video that was posted on the official Twitter(Now X) handle of Nigeria media outlet Soccernet Nigeria, the 30-year-old appreciated his fans and well wishers. He also, used the same opportunity to admonish fans to take out time and pray for Israel.

“So here I am. To everyone checking up on me, thank you very much. I really appreciate you guys, I appreciate your messages, I am safe. Just pray for Israel; it means a lot,” Ogu said.

In a related story, the Super Eagles camp in Portugal has come alive with twenty players already in camp. However, Adebayo Adeleye, was indicated as “unconfirmed arrival”, raising concerns as to whether he can make it out of the country who’s seriously being bombarded with missiles from Hamas.
