Former Celtic Glasgow defender Efe Ambrose kicks against a partnership between Victor Boniface and Victor Osimhen in the Super Eagles attack; npflupdates.com reports.
Boniface recently helped Bayer 04 Leverkusen win its first ever German Bundesliga title in history. And that feat he achieved unbeaten; and playing in the Bundesliga for the first time.

The former Bodø/Glimt forward won five consecutive Rookie of the month award, scoring over 15 Bundesliga goals.
Osimhen on the other hand, has been instrumental for Napoli this season, scoring 15 goals with four assists in 27 games.
According to Efe Ambrose, the two players are of great qualities and abilities. But pairing them in the Super Eagles attack during games will be disastrous.
Recall, Boniface and Osimhen has in the past featured in the same game for the Super Eagles (though Boniface started from the bench).
What Efe said about Boniface and Osimhen’s partnership
“Two good players playing in two different teams with different formations is different from playing in the same team with a different formation,” Ambrose told OwnGoalNigeria.
“They are both point man at their clubs, so having both play for Nigeria will mean one playing out of position or one dropping to the bench.
“Boniface plays in a formation where he is at the peak of the attack to receive the passes, just like Osimhen at Napoli. Playing both in a 4-4-2 formation looks good on paper, but they could be a problem of players running into each other’s space in the box.”
In another story, an aide to former Super Eagles head coach José Peseiro finally opens up on why the Portuguese tactician didn’t employ much local players.
According to the aide, Peseiro opted for foreign based players due to their fastness and age.
“The thing he said worked against most players who are perceived as stars in the NPFL İs there ages and the fact that they are slow. He spoke with a couple of coaches in the league on this urging them to recruit young and quick players.
That is why he only considered goalkeepers and some young players while he was here as coach”, the aid was quoted by Owngoal Nigeria.
