Super Eagles invitee Jordan Torunarigha expresses excitement playing alongside Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze npflupdates.com reports.
Jordan Torunarigha is honouring for the first ever, a Super Eagles invitation. The Germany-born defender had earlier snubbed Nigeria in 2018 when he was approached by then coach, Gernot Rohr.

Gernot Rohr has offered Jordan a place in the Super Eagles squad for the 2018 FIFA men’s world cup in Russia. But he turned it down, citing some personal reasons.
However, the KAA Gent player completed a switch to the Green and White colours of Nigeria last June. And has anticipated a debut for Nigeria, and that he will likely get this Sunday against Sao Tome and Principe.
According to the defender, he wants to use this opportunity to put an end to criticism from fans. Stating that he’s ready to show and prove to Nigerians the qualities he possesses.
Jordan Torunarigha opens up on first Super Eagles call-up experience.
“This is my first call-up and I hope I will be given time to show the fans, who have been criticizing me for denying Nigeria all through, what I am made of,” he told NFFTV and was quoted by Soccernet Nigeria.
“I am a young guy and I want to show Nigerians what I can offer.”
And while speaking further, he revealed that team’s Captain, William Troost-Ekong is helping him settle in the team.
“Captain Troost-Ekong and Collins have really helped me to find my spot in Eagles,” he continued.
“It’s nice to meet the players and I think all of them are nice people. It’s also nice to train with big players like Osimhen and Chukwueze,” he added.
In a related report, Jordan confessed that his age in 2018 contributed to his decision of snubbing Nigeria. Based on his statement, he was quite young then, making it difficult to accept offers to play for Nigeria.

“I was quite young at that time and it was difficult to accept the offer to play for the Super Eagles,” Torunarigha told completesports Nigeria.
“I never visited Nigeria before now and that played a key role in my decision. You know I grew up in Germany and it was easy to accept Germany then.”
Also, he revealed discussing with his family, who urged him to accept Nigeria.
“I later discussed with my family and took the decision to play for the Super Eagles,” he added.
