The reigning Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL, champions, Enyimba, has ruled out speculations linking it to the signing of Kylian Mbappe.
After reports that Kylian Mbappe will not be joining Paris St-Germain for the pre-season tour broke; several clubs have declared interest in his services. According to speculations earlier this week, Mbappe could be sold by the Paris-based club this summer.
And the likes of Real Madrid leading the race of securing his services. According to reports, Mbappe stayed mute over contract extension talks.
A recent tweet by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano , Mbappe is being considered for sale by the Ligue 1 champions.

And since the revelation went viral, speculations spread in Nigeria that Enyimba is interested the striker.
Enyimba denies Kylian Mbappe interest
According to a source close to the former CAF Champions League winners, the club recently witnessed striker Chukwuemeka Obioma leave for Tunisia. Obioma is the current NPFL highest goalscorer with 16 goals in the just concluded 2022/2023 season. And yesterday, departed Nigeria to Esperance De Tunis, for his medicals and probably sign a deal.

With the vacuum created by the former Abia Warriors marksman, Enyimba will be left with no option than sourcing for a replacement ahead of the next edition of CAF Champions League.
The Aba-based club in the past has been linked to free-agent former Super Eagles Striker, Odion Ighalo. But came out to debunk the speculations, stating it’s a lie, and lacked credibility.
Also, the club has denied interest in Mbappe; stating that the speculations are nothing but lies.
“It’s a lie. Why are people always linking any free player to us,” a source close to the club said.
“We’re not interested in Kylian Mbappe. Yes, Emeka(Obioma) may not be with us, but, we’re already making our plans. And we hope our new Chairman(Kanu Nwankwo) knows the right foot to put in.”
