Ojodu City FC forward, Hafiz Ibrahim will no longer join Norwegian outfit Bodø and Glimt this transfer window due to personal reasons; npflupdates.com reports.
Hafiz Ibrahim drew media and several clubs attention to himself when he finished the 2023 Viareggio Cup as the highest goalscorer with 10 goals.

The teenager was speculated to have attracted interest from Serie A outfits, Fiorentina, Milan and Torino. But his agent opted for Bodø and Glimt where he believed the player can develop better.

Last weekend, Ibrahim in company of his agent, arrived in Northern Norway so he can sign and be unveiled by the Norwegian outfit. But for personal reasons which includes loneliness, and harsh weather condition, the player will no longer sign.
“It was difficult to convince the Kano-born player to stay because he could not manage the cold. Bodo is in northern Norway and the biting cold was very tough for the boy who grew up in the almost 40-degree Celsius weather of northern Nigeria,” a report by Soccernet Nigeria read.
“Former Bodo/Glimt player Victor Boniface recently told the Obi-One Podcast about the loneliness and the cold during his stay at club where he won two Norwegian titles.”

According to Soccernet, Hafiz is expected back in Italy before weekend so he can now facilitate a move to either Chelsea or any of the other Italian clubs which have expressed interest in him earlier on.
A lot of Nigerian footballers(Victor Boniface, Fegor Ogude, Gift Orban, Igoh Ogbu, Akor Adams etc) started their European football in Norway, and virtually all of the players complained about the extreme cold weather condition.
