Udinese Calcio shot-stopper Maduka Okoye has been called up to the Super Eagles squad for the Saudi Arabia and Mozambique international friendlies npflupdates.com reports.
Maduka Okoye is making a return to the Super Eagles after enduring a lengthy absence from the national team. The Germany-born goalkeeper, was called up to the national team just ahead of Saudi Arabia friendly.

Reasons for the inclusion of the former Sparta Rotterdam’s goalkeeper wasn’t made public by the officials of the Super Eagles. But it couldn’t be far from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas; which may have prevented Hapoel Jerusalem Goalkeeper, Adebayo Adeleye, from honouring invitation.
According to reports by Aljazeera, at least 2,000 persons have been killed as a result of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Already in camp as announced by the media officer of the Super Eagles were twenty players. And according to a credible source, the players will have their first training later this evening.

Nigeria will engage Saudi Arabia on Friday 13 October, 2023 and entertain Mozambique on Monday.
