Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa is calling for the integration of exceptional Nigerian players currently plying in the local Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) npflupdates.com reports.
Musa has missed three consecutive Super Eagles outing, mostly because of lack of fitness(injury). He is now urging Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro to include more local-based players in the national team.

Musa Calls for integration of homebased players into the Super Eagles
According to the 2013 AFCON winner, national team coaches should believe and have confidence in the local players.
“The coaches need to believe in them to showcase their best for the team,” Musa said.
“It’s fundamental to go back to our local league to get the best from the team.”
Recall that some NPFL players Sunday Mbah and Godfrey Oboabona played important roles in the Super Eagles’ successful Africa Cup of Nations campaign in South Africa where they won its third title.
In a related story, former Super Eagles Captain Sunday Oliseh has described Nigeria’s performance against Lesotho as a national embarrassment.
The Super Eagles played out a one all draw against the Likuena last Thursday. A goal from Motlomelo Mkwanazi helped the visitors earn a draw.
Oliseh who starred for Nigeria at two World Cup tournaments before his retirement from international football in 2002 believed that players from the Nigeria Premier Football League would have beaten the Lesotho team.
