Coach Abdulazeez Hamza Abara, has joined NPFL newcomers El-Kanemi Warriors from Plateau United NPFLUpdates exclusively reports.
Mr. Abara, according to reports departed the former Nigeria Premier Football League Champions on a mutual agreement after he terminated his contracted.

He will be taking over the vacant Technical Adviser role at the Maiduguri-based club. NPFLUpdates understood El-Kanemi Warriors had dissolved it’s entire coaching crew last month due to a poor run of form.
Before the mid-season break by NPFL clubs due to the general election in Nigeria, El-Kanemi Warriors were sitting comfortably at the bottom of NPFL Group A table with just five points from a possible twenty-seven.
It may interest you to know that Abara saw-off competition from a Brazilian coach Raphael Everton, who was undoubtedly the first applicant for that position.
The Minna-born tactician joined Plateau United in 2021 as an assistant coach to Coach Illechukwu. In the past, he has worked at Enyimba FC and Sookoto United.
The details of his appointment wasn’t made public. However, NPFLUpdates gathered his main objective will be to guide the club far away from the relegation waters.
He’s also expected to help the club challenge for a continental slot finish by the end of the season. Now is the time to know, if he really learnt the coaching job well during his days as assistant manager.
He’s expected to join his squad in camp as they begin training ahead of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, restart.
Abara will be in charge when El-Kanemi Warriors will travel to Kwara United. The Nigeria Premier Football League fixture will hold on March 26, as a match-day 10.
