According to sources Villarreal CF will depart Spain this weekend for its pre-season tour ahead of the 2023/2024 LaLiga season. And Super Eagles Samuel Chukwueze will not be part of the team. Because recent reports has it that the winger is on the verge of joining former Scudetto winners, AC Milan.

AC Milan is in the market in search of lucrative players to help fortify it’s attack ahead of next season’s UEFA Champions League. The Italian giants, achieved a semi-final finish in the continental showpiece. But was knocked by city rivals Inter Milan, who’d lose to Manchester City in the finals.
And last season, Samuel Chukwueze helped the Yellow Submarines to a deservedly finish on the LaLiga table. He had more than eleven goals contributions, scoring five goals and assisting over six in all competitions.
A recent tweet by Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano , Chukwueze will be missing Villarreal against Hannover friendly fixture.

A look in the Villarreal squad for the Hannover friendly will see players like: Gerard, Abraham, Ferrari, Parejo, Trigueros.
Others are: Kiko, Blanco, Mandi, Pedraza, Hugo Perez, Akhomach,Monica, Alti, Terrats, Moreno, Alberto, Morales, Suarez, Santiago, Cuenca, Reina.

A move to AC Milan will be Chukwueze’s first move away from Spain. And his first European club after Villarreal CF. At Milan, he is expected to help the team challenge and wrestle the Scudetto off Napoli next season.
He will now compete with fellow compatriots in Victor Osimhen, Isaac Success, Tyronne Ebuehi, Ademola Lookman and Ola Aina.
