Super Eagles rebuff claims Sadiq Umar is injured
“It’s nothing at all. The bandage around his knee is normal even Victor Osimhen wears one. It is protective and very popular here in camp.
“Even yesterday Sadiq trained with the rest of the team and not like he was isolated. He wasn’t even limping as said”, the source who do not want his name in prints told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
According to the source, there’s nothing to be worried about, as the former AS Roma forward is expected to train with his teammates later today.
“There is no cause for concern because he will train fully with the rest of the team. I understand why people are concerned but take it from me that Sadiq is very fine and carrying knocks is normal. I heard the players joke about how no footballer plays without pain and it’s the truth,” he added.
In another story, AFCON winning forward Brown Ideye expresses worry that the Super Eagles may not triumph at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
According to the former Dynamo Kyiv forward, players in the current Super Eagles team lacks discipline, and passion for the country.
“We have players, but we don’t have a team. This team lacks discipline and passion for the country. I’m not sure they can win in Cote d’Ivoire,” he said.
