Nigeria’s Sports Minister Senator John Enoh holds a morale-boosting explosive meeting the NFF officials npflupdates.com reports.
And the meeting we gathered was because of the affairs of the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The Super Eagles have been without a coach for about three weeks following the expiration of Jose Peseiro’s contract last July.
Interestingly, the Super Eagles will be coming up against Sao Tome and Principe next weekend. And the dead-rubber tie will see the Super Eagles complete it’s 2024 AFCON qualifier matches. Though they have already booked a ticket for the biennial tournament.
In a tweet made by the Sports Minister on his Twitter handle, he urged the Super Eagles to go all out and defeat it’s opponent.

According to the newly appointed Minister, winning against Sao Tome and Principe, will be a welcome gift from the players.

Sports Minister urges Super Eagles to give him a welcome gift

While speaking further, the philanthropic farmer, confirmed he will excited if the Super Eagles can defeat it’s opponent.
Also, he stated that a win for Nigeria and to the Nigerian people will lead to celebration of a new phase of “our sports”.
“Even though we are home and dry in the qualifying series, I will be excited if the Super Eagles can beat São Tomé and Principe for the generality of Nigerians, as we celebrate this new phase of our sports.”
In a related post, Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro has agreed to a new contract as Super Eagles coach.
The former Sporting CP coach will take charge of the team on Sunday’s AFCON qualifier fixture.
According to sources, the football guru agreed to a pay-cut, and has been mandated to taking the Super Eagles to a semi-final finish at next year’s AFCON.
Also, he is to be in charge of the Super Eagles B team, generally regarded as the CHAN team. And will be leading them in tournaments and qualifier fixtures.
And for the AFCON qualifier on Sunday, Peseiro had invited the following players:
Goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho, Ojo Olorunleke, Adebayo Adeleye.
