
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle invites 39 players for the upcoming 2026 FIFA world cup qualifier fixtures; npflupdates.com reports.
The Super Eagles will come against the Amavubis of Rwanda in Kigali, before welcoming the Warriors of Zimbabwe in Uyo few days later.

The list which contained a total of 39 names comprises of home-based and abroad-based players. Interestingly, seven new players made the provisional list.

(1) Tolu Arokodare:Â

The 24-year-old KRC Genk forward is in blistering form this season. Scoring 16 times in the Jupiler Pro League this season. There’s no doubt, the player if he make the final 23-man list will be a good option in the Super Eagles attack.
(2) Kayode Bankole: The Remo Stars shot-stopper is among the selected goalie for the home-based Eagles who recently qualified for the 2025 CHAN tournament. However, this is the first time he’s receiving a Super Eagles invitation.
(3) Igoh Ogbu:Â

The former Flying Eagles defender if selected, will be expected to make his debut for the three-time African champions. The Slavia Prague man in an interview few years ago, expressed readiness to national team invitation.
(4) Ifeanyi Onyebuchi:

Contracted with Rangers International and plying his trade in Nigeria, Onyebuchi will be a good option and a good replacement for injured Oluwasemilogo Ajayi.
(5) Papa Daniel:Â Plying his trade in Nigeria where he is contracted with Niger Tornadoes; the left-footed playmaker will be an option in Super Eagles creative midfield department.
(6) Anthony Dennis:

Playing for Goztepe SK in the Turkish Super Lig, Dennis is highly skilled midfielder. His presence in the Super Eagles midfield will provide option for coach Eric Chelle.
(7) Chrisantus Uche:

Contracted with Getafe CF in the Spanish La Liga, Uche is a skilled versatile midfielder who can also help forwards score goals.
