Former Super Eagles manager, José Mourinho identifies with Finidi George some of the difficulties associated with the national team job; npflupdates.com reports.
Finidi George will take care of the Super Eagles on interim basis following the exit of José Peseiro as the team’s coach.

George worked as an assistant to Peseiro during his time with the three-time African champions.
The former Venezuela national team manager was in charge of the Super Eagles for 22 months. And during this time he led Nigeria to ten wins, five draws, and seven defeats in a total of 22 games.
It’s imperative to note that the biggest highlight of Peseiro’s spell with the team was at the last AFCON, where he guided Nigeria to reach the final. The run at the AFCON, was Nigeria’s best in two AFCONs, after Stephen Keshi helped the team win a third title in 2013.
Meanwhile, the former Saudi Arabia national team coach, emdured severe criticisms throughout his time as boss of the Super Eagles. Especially during the period where he had the team lose four games in a row between September 2022 and March 2023.
More embarrassing was the disappointing 1-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Speaking recently in an interview the former Sporting CP manager, revealed that the Super Eagles job is not a job everybody can deal with.

“It’s not a job for everybody,” Peseiro said, as per Owngoal.
“You really don’t know what to expect at the job. One minute, you are doing well, and in a flash, another person is questioning how well you are doing.

“We had our best AFCON performance in 11 years, but we still have people not happy about how we got there.
“The fans want to win everything and in style. It is a very difficult job.”
Finidi will be in the dugout when Nigeria come up against Ghana and Mali on 22 and 26 March, respectively.
