Akor will be a good option for the Super Eagles attacking department
“Akor is a potential Super Eagles striker,” Utaka tipped in an interview.
“He’s a hard worker, has a good size for a striker and a great mindset.
“I believe he will take his chance in the national team when he is handed one.”
Adams has been sidelined due to an injury he sustained some few weeks ago. But, Utaka who maintains a close relationship with HSC Montpelier as their youth coach, disclosed the striker’s return to action.
“He’s now back in the team,” he reported.
In a related story, Adams reveals it’d be a privilege and a dream come true if he can represent Nigeria senior men’s team.
“I work hard on my game. It’s important to me. It would be a great privilege to represent Nigeria at senior level. I am just waiting for the time,” the former SK Lillestrøm player said.
Speaking about the striking department of the three-time African champions; Adams praised the talent of players currently in the department.
However, he expressed his readiness to take any opportunity to play for the country.
“I recognise that Nigeria has top strikers right now. Football is about opportunity, and you have to keep improving and trust your own process, which I do,” Adams added.
“If the chance comes, I need to be ready to perform. That is the most important thing.”
Having previously played for the Flying Eagles(Nigeria U-20 men), Adams stressed that he is not focused on when his invitation will happen; but on being ready when the opportunity arises, so he can snap it up.
