Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urges the Super Falcons of Nigeria to go all out at the FIFA women’s World Cup and win the title.
Super Falcons will depart Nigeria on Sunday, for Australia, host nation of the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup. And in Australia, the team will initially entertain friendly and test matches during their 15-day camping exercise.
Ahead of their departure, the Nigeria’s First Lady, at a dinner with the ladies charged to bring home the covetous award. Also, she urged the players to identify themselves and play as a team, and not individual. Adding that the aim and success of the national team will be achieved only when they work together.

“It is important that you remain committed by playing together as a team; no one should think that she’s a better player than the other,”she said through her representative, Dr Betta Edu, as reported by Punch Nigeria.
“It is only when you play as a team that you can record success. And it is my expectation that this time, you will surpass your previous efforts.
“I am sure that 99.9 per cent of Nigerians will stay glued to their television sets to watch you. Please try your best to bring the cup home.”
Also, the First Lady, assured the team, that she would be live at airport to welcome them back when they return to the country with the cup.
Meanwhile, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, appreciated the Federal Government for supporting the federation. Also, he admitted that football is one of the popular sport that unites Nigeria. And also reduces criminal tendencies among the youths of the country.
“Football remains the biggest unifier across the world; it has helped to shore up our national image while helping to reduce criminal tendencies among the youth.

The Super Falcons will entertain Canada, Republic of Ireland and host nation Australia in their group matches.
