Abia Warriors Officials on Sunday fiercely engage officials of Enugu Rangers International at the Umuahia community stadium before a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture npflupdates.com reports.
   Former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers International, last weekend lost in an Oriental Derby match against Abia Warriors in Umuahia.

But before the match, officials of the Umuahia-based club exchanged brawls with the officials of their visitors.
Why Abia Warriors exchange blows with Rangers International
According to a source who was live at the stadium when the fighting began, Abia Warriors attacked Rangers’ after the latter and the players walked onto the turf of the stadium changing victory songs.
“Rangers Intl arrived earlier today for the Oriental derby in their traditional attire and headed straight to the pitch while singing and dancing. This act didn’t go down well with the Abia warriors officials and this happened ,” @54fballx a X user who captured and posted the video online wrote.
Reacting to the awful event, British journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, opined for a severe punishment on both clubs.

“This type of behaviour must be severely punished, @NigeriaPFL. Why would people from @AbiaWarriorsFC behave like this?,” he queried in a post made on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.
At the time of this report, the organisers of the Nigeria local league are yet to issue any statement as to what played out between both NPFL giants.
