The widely speculated invitation of Chuba Akpom to the Super Eagles of Nigeria by Coach Jose Peseiro may have just hit rocks npflpdates understands.
Akpom due to his current envious form in front of goal has made many football pundits predicting he’d finally the list for the AFCON qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
Akpom on Tuesday evening added to his goals in the Skybet Championship. He now has twenty-three goals in thirty appearances this season. His sixth goal in last five matches across all competitions.

With the AFCON qualifier match coming up in few weeks time, invitations are being sent across to players needed for the fixture. Shockingly, Akpom, going by the confirmation of his agent is yet to be invited by the national team.
“We have not heard from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF),” he told the media.
The representative from Elite Project Group, conceded saying, maybe an invitation have been sent to his club. He stressed that Chuba Akpom is committed towards the Nigerian project.

“Maybe it has been sent to the club. That is the only thing I can say. He is committed to playing for Nigeria,” he continued.
“Whenever he is called up, he will give his best to the team,” he concluded.
A look into what might have been the reason for snubbing the former Arsenal man who has since switched his allegiance to Nigeria, it would be discovered, players who are likely to play in Akpom’s potential position are all in good form.
Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze and Terem Moffi are all in good form for their various clubs in Europe. Ademola a regular at Atalanta Bergamo has thirteen goals at the moment this season. Moffi is on fifteen goals for OG Nice, while Chukwueze is on ten goals and eleven assists.
