Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones have been advised to make hay whil the sun shines as it concerns his international future npflupdates.com reports.
Curtis Jones, 22, has represented England in age-grade football, and is also eligible to represent Nigeria internationally as his grandparents are Nigerians.
The Nigeria Football Federation NFF, in the past made open It’s intention of recruiting abroad-born Nigerians who are interested in representing the Green and White colours.
The intention was came to live when Super Eagles Coach Jose Peseiro, invited former Germany Youth International Jordan Torunarigha to the national team. Also, plans are ongoing to hand Freiburg Goalkeeper Atubolu, and Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie international call-ups.
And a move for Curtis Jones now that he hasn’t been capped by the Three Lions will also be a boost for the Super Eagles.

Importantly, a representative of the player has confirmed to Owngoal Nigeria, that Curtis is aware of his Nigerian roots

“Of course he is aware. His grand parents are Nigerians. He was born and raised here, so, playing for Nigeria is something that hasn’t crossed his minds. But you never know what future holds,” the representative said.
Reacting to the revelation of Curtis Jones eligibility to play for Nigeria, NPFLUpdates in-house analyst Mr Best advised he take the option.
“As a Nigerian, you(Curtis) can thrive in African Football; a lot of your kind in the past have done that,” the Analyst said.
“Now, you’re in your active days, playing for Liverpool, take that decision and come home. African football is quite easier and welcoming as well.”
In a related development, Bayer 04 Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella, has expressed interest in playing for the Super Eagles. According to the 24-year-old, that was a decision he took some four years ago.
“I’ve always said for the last three or four years that Nigeria is a big part of my life – even though I’ve been an ‘England boy’ from London all my life,” Tella was quoted by a German publication, Bild.
“If I got the chance to play for Nigeria, I would be more than happy and accept it. I’ve already told my parents and friends that I would do that.”
The former Burnley winger, further reiterated his readiness to work hard so he can stand a chance of getting a call-up.

“You’re not just nominated like that, You have to work for it and earn it. I want to prove myself here if I get the chance to play. I want to develop further, help the team and the club – if a call comes for an international call-up, that would be a bonus.”
