Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George reveals the main reason why his side Enyimba failed to beat Wydad Casablanca in Uyo npflupdates.com reports.
Finidi George was in charge when Enyimba welcomed North African club Wydad Casablanca in the first leg of its African Football League (AFL) tie in Uyo.

Shockingly, the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), were stunned by the visitors who scored from a spot-kick in the first half. Goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke was reluctant in coming off his lines to make a save, he however, collided with Wydad’s player leading to a spot-kick which was converted by Yahya Jabrane.
The Aba-based club tried everything within its power, to ensure it restored parity,or at most get a win; but the Moroccan giants held their positions.
What Finidi George said about Enyimba’s shocking defeat against Wydad Casablanca
Speaking after the game, Finidi, decried his side’s poor form in front of goal. According to the former UEFA Champions League winner, players need to take their chances of they must win games.
“For you to win games, you have to score-you take your chances,” George revealed in the post-match interview as quoted by Premium Times Nigeria.
According to the former Super Eagles winger, away at Wydad, his side’s will try to rectify it’s mistakes.
“That didn’t happen for us today, I think. The next couple of days, [we] have another game against the same team, so we [will] try and make sure we rectify that as quickly as possible,” he added.
In a related development, Enyimba Captain, Eze Ekwutoziam, said they’re ready to pull a drama in the reverse fixture. According to the playmaker, nothing is impossible in football, he stressed that if Wydad can stun them on home soil, they can equally stun them in Casablanca.

“There are no two ways about it. Definitely, if it is possible for us to lose here, I guess it is possible for us to win in Casablanca. So it is the time to get together as a team and put our heads together to see how we can overturn the result in Morocco,” he said in a post-match presser.
“There is nothing much; that’s football. If they can do it here, we can do it over there,” he added.
