Former Super Eagles forward Mfon Udoh opens up on how homebased players beg their foreign counterparts money during Super Eagles camping npflupdates.com reports.

Mfon Udoh remains the only player with the highest number of goals in a single Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The former Enyimba FC forward, also enjoyed some caps for the Super Eagles, before he stopped getting invitation.
According to the lethal striker, some homebased players who get Super Eagles invitation, beg their foreign-based counterparts for financial assistance.
What Mfon Udoh said about players begging money in Super Eagles camp
The player disclosed this during a Podcast session with a former NPFL player AbubAzeez.
“Because we don’t have money and the home-based, when they go there (camp) and because they earn like N100,000, N600,000 and they see who is earning N10 million, N20 million or N30 million, they go and start begging them for money,” Mfon said and was quoted by Brila.net Nigeria.

Speaking further, the 31-year-old forward cried foul over the unfair treatment homebased players get from those based abroad. According to him, the abroad-based players, give them space and wouldn’t want to mingle and bond very well with them.
“So because of that they don’t like to talk to us, they just give us space.” Udoh stater, when asked why the foreign based players don’t bond with NPFL stars in camp.
“Most of the foreign players, when they see the local players like us they tend to look down on us, they look us like who is this.
“Even 90 per cent of them I have played in the Super Eagles before them, just because they have been consistent in terms of getting invited they feel they own the team.”

He added, “So because we are in Nigerian league it’s very diffcult to break into the main Super Eagles, So all those things make them look down on is.”
