Nigeria Premier Football League Champions, Rivers United, Sunday evening progressed into the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The high-flying NPFL side came from behind to share the points with their Congolese opponent Diables Noir.
The visitors took the lead two minutes to the half-hour mark through a Emmanuel Ampiah owngoal. The defender unavoidably slotted the ball into his own goal.
Pressure from the NPFL reigning champions rained on Diables, but they stood their ground into the first half.
Thirteen minutes after the hour mark, Rivers United were level through a shot from Nyima Nwagua.
The former Kano Pillars playmaker, gave the hosts the lead four minutes later after the equaliser.

The visitors with just nine minutes of normal time scored the leveler. Lucrative player, Deo Gracias Basinga restored parity.
Efforts by both teams to secure all maximum points, proved abortive; they both shared the spoils.
At the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Rivers United fired a total of 17 shots, and had just 9 on target.
Rivers United are now second on the Group B table with 10 points from five matches.
They are through to the next stage of the continental competition with one more game to spare.
“The result is good enough to see us through to the quarter-final with one Matchday left in the group stage,” an official club statement read on it’s Twitter handle.
The NPFL giants will come up against ASEC Mimosas in their last group fixture of the CAFCC.
Rivers United will return to local action this week when the NPFL restarts from a mid-season break.
