A former Feyenoord Rotterdam forward, Cyriel Dessers finally opens up on opportunity to represent the Green and White colours of the Super Eagles; npflupdates.com reports.
Cyriel Dessers has been part of the Super Eagles set-up since making his debut on 13 October, 2020.

The Netherland-born has gone ahead to earn four caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Despite being in top form for his club Glasgow Rangers, Dessers shockingly missed out on the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast.

“I am a very ambitious person and I won’t lie | felt really hurt when I missed out on a spot in the team for the AFCON,” he said.
This season Dessers has found the back of the net 16 times, scoring 12 times in the league, once in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, one in the UEFA Europa League, another one in the Scottish Cup and one more in the Scottish League Cup.
Speaking further about his return to the Super Eagles, he said; “But now that l am here making the best of it is what matters most. It’s not easy getting to play for Nigeria because of the options available but when an opening like this happens then you have to be ready to take it.”
“It’s my turn to prove a point”, the 29 year old who has four caps and one goal for Nigeria said.
In another story, Luton Town forward Elijah Adebayo, opens up on his desire to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Born in Brent, England, to Nigerian parents, Adebayo is eligible to represent either Nigeria or England internationally. But, it seems he’s chose Nigeria over the Three Lions of England.

In a video shared on X recently, Adebayo who is currently battling with a hamstring muscle injury was heard telling his fans how he would love to play for the Super Eagles.
“Heritage is big for me, obviously. My mum was born in Nigeria. I am proud to be Nigerian and I would love to play for Nigeria,” he said.
