Fulham FC playmaker Alexander Iwobi finally opens up on why he decided to release his debut single “Don’t shoot”; npflupdates.com reports.
Iwobi in collaboration with Super Eagles eligible Chuba Akpom released a song he title “Don’t Shoot” not too long ago.
The former Arsenal man before the release of the song on numerous occasions was seen in music studios, especially during summer and winter breaks.
Speaking to the media, Iwobi revealed his song is focused on educating people, helping them identify the positive things around them which they can assess and make fortunes from.
This inspiration he got from events that took place during his early days on the streets of London(where criminal activities take place).
Iwobi talks about his debut song
“Growing up in London, there is a lot of criminal activity, things that you don’t want to see or hear. With our powers, we are trying to say don’t do that, channel it into something else,” he told Evening Standard and was quoted by Leadership Nigeria.
“Whether it is football or music, anything that keeps you on the straight path is what we are trying to show everyone. I’ve always loved music, I am not going to lie, but in terms of releasing a song, I never thought [that would happen].

He aded; It was just something where my friends said: ‘The music is actually decent, why don’t you release it?’ So, we thought let’s release it at the right time and not get distracted, because the main focus will always be football. But at the same time, I am more than just a footballer. I am human, like everyone else.”
Iwobi has now joined the path of his uncle and former Super Eagles Captain, Jay-jay Okocha who released a song in the early 2000s while still actively playing football.
