Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali reveals his role model as far as his Goalkeeping career is involved; npflupdates.com reports.
The Super Eagles will come up against Bafana Bafana(South Africa) later today as they try to reach its first ever AFCON final in over a decade.

And prior to the 34th edition of the biennial tournament, Nigeria was faced with goalkeeping challenges; following the inconsistency of first choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.
In a bid to find a lasting solution to the goalkeeping crisis, coach José Peseiro scouted Nwabali; and in one fell swoop traveled to South Africa to watch him.
And since his debut for Nigeria, Nwabali has been instrumental. Keeping four Cleansheets at the 2023 AFCON. And is also on course to claiming the Golden Gloves plaque should Nigeria get to the final and probably win the championship.
In the video shared by photojournalist Pooja on X on Monday, the Chippa United star expressed love for German Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
What Nwabali said about Manuel Neuer
According to the 27-year-old, Neuer remains his role model; and is influenced by his skills.
“I love playing my PlayStation, I love watching my role model, I love watching Manuel Neuer even before my game.
“Even two days before my game, even in the dressing room, I always watch him, and even before my game, I always play my PlayStation,” Nwabali stated.
In a related story, World Trade Organisation (WTO) Chairman, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala threw her weights behind the Super Eagles. According to the former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, the three-time African champions have her blessings against South Africa.
