Hugo Broos : There Are Plans To Dismantle Super Eagles, We Know Their Weaknesses

South Africa’s head coach Hugo Broos remains upbeat his side can beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday npflupdates reports.

Hugo Broos hopes to take the Bafana Bafana to its first ever AFCON final in over two decades. But he must first, overcome perennial rivals the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The two countries will clash at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake, on Wednesday night; and the winner will play at the final on Sunday, 11, February.

It will be the first meeting between both countries at the AFCON finals since after the Super Eagles eliminated the Bafana Bafana in the semi-final at the 2000 edition of AFCON.

Speaking to the media after beating Cape Verde on penalties to reach the semi-final, Broos said he’d begin analysing Nigeria tactics.

According to the tactician, it will be in their interest to captialize on the weaknesses of the three-time African champions.

“We know now that it will be Nigeria, we are in the semifinal so from tomorrow we start analyzing and we will see how we can use the weaknesses in this team but also be aware for the qualities and there are a lot of qualities in that team,” Hugo Broos was quoted by Gistmania.

“Nigeria is a team who became better and better every game so when I saw them playing, it’s again a very good team with a very good striker.

“There are also a few good players like the one who scored the goal, Lookman, a very good player, so we have to analyze a little bit more now because we didn’t at the time.”

“For both teams it’s a little bit special because in a few months we play each other for the qualifiers for the World Cup so it can be a test for both of us.”

A win for Nigeria will take them to their first AFCON final in over a decade. The last time the Green and White Eagles played in an AFCON final match, they emerged victorious.
