AFCON U-20: Nigerian Billionaires Should Motivate Flying Eagles The Same Way They Do For Super Eagles – Analyst Blows

NPFLUpdates in-house analyst Mr Bertrand, has cried charging Nigerian billionaires to motivate Flying Eagle players the same way they do for the Super Eagles.

Mr. Bertrand said lack of support to the Flying Eagles from billionaire philanthropists in the country is appalling.

The Flying Eagles are currently in Egypt for the AFCON U-20 tournament, a tourney which would also serve as a qualifier for the upcoming U-20 FIFA World Cup.

And shockingly they’re bottom of the Group A with no point and no single goal. Because they were beaten by the Junior Teranga Lions of Senegal in their first match last weekend.

Mr Bertrand while reacting to the loss blamed the billionaire philanthropists in Nigeria for neglecting. He said had it been the Super Eagles are in Egypt , many morale boasting supports will be flying around.

Nigerian Billionaires Boycotting Flying Eagles:

“If not for cheap political gains what will stop our philanthropic Billionaires from supporting the Flying Eagles. The billionaires have always supported the Super Eagles and Super Falcons during tourneys. What stops them from extending same olive branch to these teenagers in Egypt?” he asked on Tuesday evening.

“For goodness sake those boys are Nigerians too. They need that motivation especially now that they’ve suffered an opening match defeat.”

” I call on all well meaning Nigerians to rise up and show support to the kids. I believe them, and I believe that with the right support, they can win the title. And all will be to the glory of our dear country,” he continued.

“I wish them well in all their matches going forward. It was a nice team with good selections, they’ll make us proud; I believe,” he concluded.

The Flying Eagles will come up against AFCON U-20 tournament host Egypt on Wednesday evening at the Cairo stadium. They must win the match if hopes of surviving from the Group stages is to be kept alive.
