NPFLUpdates in-house analyst Mr Best, has cried over the performance of the Flying Eagles at the ongoing AFCON U-20 tournament in Egypt.
Nigeria started its campaign losing against the Junior Teranga Lions of Senegal on Sunday.
Flying Eagles on Sunday, got stunned by Senegal in their AFCON U-20 opening match at the Cairo stadium Egypt.
Nigeria trailed at halftime, and fans had hoped the team will come back stronger in the second half. But the opposition held their positions to get all three points.
And With few minutes to the end of match, forward Ahmed Abdullahi was sent off by the center-field referee.
Reacting to result, Mr Best who in the past has spoken high of the team couldn’t hide his disappointment. And according to Best, the team’s outing will be disastrous if they continue in their current tactics. He argued the team’s style of play can not even them to progress out of the group stage.

Nigeria Performance’s Poor At The AFCON U-20
“I almost jumped out of skin after the final whistle was blown yesterday. And I had to pinch myself to come back to reality,” he told NPFLUpdates correspondent Monday morning.
“This is a team with so much qualities at their disposal. But the boys looked clueless and unsettled in the first period. And they give away possessions very easily. Honestly, this is not the team I saw in pre-tournament friendlies.”
“And I think Bosso, should just step his game. He should give these boys instructions they need to outsmart and overcome Egypt. And failing to do so, we’re coming back home straight from the group stages,” he continued.
“12 shots with just two on target shows the lack of precision of the strikers. Because we are poor in front of goal, we need to do better.
“Senegal may have just gotten a revenge of the loss they suffered at the hands of the Eagles in 2015. But I trust the boys will do better,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles will come up against host nation Egypt, on Wednesday. This is as they look to earn their first point, and score their first goal of the tournament.”
