Agent Drags Peseiro To Court Over Unpaid Balance After Helping Him Secure Super Eagles Job

Indigenous coaches are not tactical like foreign counterparts

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro , may be experiencing a legal battle with agent Jolly Okay Ogu who allegedly brokered his deal with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) npflupdates.com reports.

Football agent Jolly Ogu is dragging Mr Peseiro to the football federation over a breach of agreement.

According to a report by Owngoal Nigeria, Mr. Jolly helped Peseiro secure the Super Eagles coaching job after a verbal agreement was reached by the pair in 2021. Based on the report, the former Sporting CP gaffer verbally agreed to pay the sum of $84,000(Eighty-four thousand dollars) to Mr Jolly.

Everything was going well until Jose failed to complete his payment after securing the job, and paying $3,500(Three thousand dollars).

In a letter from RV. Baribote Law Practice Debeez Chambers, and submitted to the NFF Mr Jolly asked for his balance.

“We are Counsel to Mr. Jolly Okay Ogu hereinafter referred to as our (Client) and upon his information and firm instructions we write to you on the above subject matter as herein-under following,” the letter read.

1. That sometimes in October 2021, you verballyagreed in principle with our Client to assist you in getting the Nigeria National Team job which he did.

2. That it is also Our Client brief that 10% which is $84, 000. (EIGHTY-FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR) will be paid to our Client.

3. That out of the agreed $84, 000. (EIGHTY-FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS) only $3, 500 (THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS) has been paid till date

4. That it is our wish and desire that our client be paid the outstanding amount of $80, 500 (EIGHTY THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS) within fourteen (14) days of receipt of this letter.

5. TAKE NOTICE that this should also serve as a pre- action notice to you as failure to so do will leave us with the only option of activating and exploring all legal remedies within the arm bit of the law and it is going to impact on your credit. et wise counsel prevail, please.

As at the time of this report, Jose Peseiro nor any of his representatives is yet to make any official statement in that regard.
