A reliable source who monitor the transfers of players from majorly Europe and Asia has revealed to NPFLUpdates that Al Sadd SC is interested in the player, and also ready to offer him a more lucrative wage if he agrees to move in the summer.
Iheanacho in search of more game time and the AFCON 2024 in view may likely accept the offer for consistency.
“Al Sadd Sports Club and Al Duhail are yearning for the signature of Iheanacho. The Nigerian is a top target, and Al Sadd is in a better position to signing him. Because they’re willing to offer £200,000 wage,” he said.
“Al Sadd needs a forward who can also double as a creative midfielder. This is a quality which he(Iheanacho) possesses. And they want to take the risk; maybe this summer.”
The Nigerian is lacking game time under manager, Brendan Rodgers, who prefers to use Jamie Vardy.
A move away to the Middle-East, will not be a bad option for the W’Cup winner. At Al Sadd, he will have enough game time, and time for the AFCON in Ivory Coast.
Iheanacho for the record is the highest Scoring player in the history of the English FA Cup. He’s scored more than 15 goals in the competition since making his debut.
