Amunike : I’m Happy Sharing The Same Birthday With Jesus Christ

A former Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Amunike reveals being fulfilled as he share the same birthday with Jesus Christ npflupdates.com reports.

Born on 25 December, 1970, Emmanuel Amunike celebrates his birthday on the 25th day of December; same day mapped out by Christians to celebrate Christmas (birthday of of Jesus Christ).

Christians worldwide celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on 25 December of every year. On the day of occasion, kids are dressed in the best attires, visit their friends, and relations while making merry.

In a recent publication by PUNCH Nigeria, Amunike expressed joy in sharing same birthday with Jesus. According to the former Sporting CP winger, he’s happy because it’s the day families all over the world come together to celebrate joy and love of Jesus.

What Emmanuel Amunike said about his birthday celebration

“I hope to spend Christmas with my family here in Spain — my wife, my two boys and my brothers,’ Amunike said.

“It’s a day I usually celebrate, not because it happens to be my birthday, but because it is the celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s a day that families all over the world come together to celebrate the joy and love that Jesus represents.”

Speaking further, the 1994 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) winner revealed how his siblings and family celebrated him when he was still a kid. Per his statement, every member of his family, ensured he got the best treatment.

“Of course, I was celebrated by my family because the day called for it. For my mother, Christmas is a double delight. Every family member makes sure I get the best and that I’m happy all through that day,” he added.

When asked about the possibility of winning the 34th edition of the AFCON that will kick-off in Ivory Coast in less than a month; the former Zamalek playmaker said it’s possible for Nigeria to win a fourth AFCON. But they can only achieve that, when they play cohesively as a team, adding that Nigeria (Super Eagles) is endowed with enough talented players that can execute the AFCON.

“Of course, they can if they play cohesively as a team. We need to have it at the back of our minds that there are other countries too at the tournament capable of winning it as well. But I believe we have the players that can win the title for Nigeria. We just need some discipline,” he concluded.
