Another Important Super Eagles Defender Replaces Ola Aina For Saudi Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will experience a huge boost with the inclusion of Empoli defender Tyronne Ebuehi npflupdates.com reports.

The Super Eagles was hit with an injury boost ahead of its international friendly game against Asian giants Saudi Arabia, and Mozambique this weekend.

Super Eagles gets defensive boost with introduction of Tyronne Ebuehi

Fulham FC defender, Olaoluwa Aina and Nottingham Forest’s striker Taiwo Awoniyi was ruled out of the clash due to injury. And has subsequently being replaced by Tyronne Ebuehi (Empoli FC) and Umar Sadiq (Real Sociedad) respectively.

Taiwo Awoniyi picked up a late injury on Saturday night while playing for his English side in a Premier League fixture.

Jose Peseiro had earlier announced a 25-man squad for the two international clashes; with Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface and Wilfred Ndidi topping the list of Invited players.

Goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho, Olorunleke Ojo, Adebayo Adeleye

Defenders: Olaoluwa Aina, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Jordan Torunarigha, Kenneth Omeruo, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Jamilu Collins, Bruno Onyemaechi

Midfielders: Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Joseph Ayodele Aribo, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

Forwards: Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Terem Moffi, Victor Boniface.

Meanwhile, injured KAA Gent defender, Jordan Torunarigha may just recover in time to join his teammates in camp. Of course, the international friendly games will provide the former Germany Youth international an opportunity to make his Super Eagles debut, after missing out during the AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, in Uyo last month.
