Aribo : “He Trained Like A Beast” Southampton Coach Brags After Important Victory

Southampton FC head coach Russell rains plaudits on creative midfielder Joseph Ayodele Aribo after his boxing day performance npflupdates.com reports.

Aribo was impressive in the midfield for Southampton as they wallop visitors Swansea City in a Skybet EFL championship fixture at the St. Mary’s Stadium.

The 27-year-old through a deflected shot scored his first goal of the season, his first in the 2023/2024  EFL season and his first goal in 451 days.

Reacting to the performances of the Nigerian, Russell Martin, told reporters that the former Rangers Glasgow player is a good player.

According to the tactician, Aribo will applaud his teammates whenever he’s not playing, and never showed any form of frustration.

“When he [Joe Aribo] wasn’t playing, he didn’t show frustration with the players, he trained like a beast,”the was quoted by Complete Sports after the game.

“He would come speak to me and get his frustration out.”

After the goal, A loud music eulogising the former Charlton Athletic playmaker erupted inside the stadium.

And the Nigeria international was happy to hear the music.

“It’s an amazing feeling for me and a long time coming,” Aribo told the Daily Echo.

“It’s the first time I’ve heard it. It’s a very good song to be fair. For us they (the fans) are amazing. They are our twelfth man.”

He added, “When they are behind us it is an amazing feeling. They give us the confidence.”

Southampton have now extended its unbeaten streak to sixteen games.

The playmaker is expected to make the Super Eagles final 27-man list that will execute the 2023 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON).
