Against Antwerp, he scored his first ever brace in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League coming on as a second half substitute; and of course expresses how excited he was achieving the feat.

“I hadn’t scored twice since I started playing for Racing Genk. This is a very beautiful feeling,” Arokodare said per Voetbalbelgie and was quoted by Soccernet Nigeria

“The supporters were fantastic, also in Anderlecht and the rest of the season. They deserve to end this year with a victory.”

“We wanted to send a message after the previous match, in which things did not go as planned. We not only wanted the three points but also to show that we can play football, regardless of what everyone thinks about the referee,” the 23-year-old continued.

“We put in a strong performance against Antwerp, and we finally got what we deserved.”

Arokodare according to the 40-man 2023 AFCON provisional list released earlier this month by Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro through the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will not be going to the 2023 AFCON.

The former Valmeria forward, wasn’t included in the list; hence do not stand a chance to be named in the final 27-man list.
